    Code Tycoon 2021

Built for Okta, Code Tycoon is a WebGL game built in Unity where you are a programmer at a failing company.

I worked on a majority of the online functionality, integrated PlayFab, implemented Cloud Saving, utilized Okta for user authentication. I also worked on many of the game play systems, mini-games, character creator, movement, and animation systems.

This game was unfortunetly taken down by Okta, and there is nolonger a way to play this title.

As part of my work with EGS, we worked on this grant-funded project, funded by the Knight Foundation, focused on allowing people to interact with the real-world city data of Philadelphia.
I was the sole programmer on this year long production and it was incredibly complex! I wrote up a blog post about it here!Build in Unity 2019.

“Best Student Game” Games For Change 2020

This is an intergalactic first-person city-builder, in which you manage a refugee camp. Balancing refugee stats to ensure they are healthy and happy, while trying to resettle refugees onto foreign planets makes up the primary game play.

For my senior project, I am serving on a team of 18 members to deliver a game that addresses issues in refugee aid organizations. The goal of this game is to encourage players to learn more about the refugee crisis outside of the game.

    Current Build Here.

Cryptids, also known as folk lore creatures, are real, and you try to prove it by finding them and taking their pictures. You are dropped into a camp, with a camera, and are tasked with finding the Fresno Night Walker. Once found, get a good enough picture of the cryptid to prove that Night Walker’s exist, and return to camp.

This first person photography game, was created by a team of 7 students across an 8 week development period.

    Jams

I worked with Horse Honey to make this Punch-Out inspired dueling game. This was part of Global Game Jam 2022 with the theme “Duality.” We took the theme in a bit of a punny way as “Duel-ity.”

    Credits:
Corey Waite Arnold (production and design)
    Devon Arnold (design)
    Anders Carlson (art + design)
    Chris McCole (programming + design)
    Michael Hudak (music)

An Artist’s Dream is an experimental hybrid art project made within 1 week. It is playable for free on itch.io in browser. The art was created by Kelly and the rest was created by myself.

A “toy” (meaning that it isn’t a game but a single piece or mechanic that could exist within a game, no objective given) that I made in about an hour for a game jam in which we had to make a “toy” with the theme “revolution.”

In this toy, you are placing planets and seeing how all of the celestial bodies act with one another and you can try and get a planet of yours into orbit.

An infinite game I made in a couple hours for a game jam. You use the arrow sticks to fly the hat around, it rotates with physics as you fly towards some cool stars with a trail particle effect.

This experimental game project was created in a day. The assignment was to create a game that is reflective of the games industry today. I chose to focus on the AAA games that are tending to release incomplete games, that patch everything together after the fact or through the use of paid DLC.
